We are aiming for a 1.0 release of Amlen in early May but a release candidate (1.0rc1) is available now. The currently expected date for the 1.0 release is the 5th May however there is some process we have to get through so I wouldn’t bet my life on that date (IP sign off, Eclipse PMC committee sign off etc.) but I’m not currently aware of anything that would block the release.
In the meantime, we are pleased to say 1.0rc1 is available and we expect minimal changes between 1.0rc1 and the final 1.0 so grab 1.0rc1 from official Eclipse Amlen download area.
This build should have all the features that were present in IBM Message Gateway 220.127.116.11 (which formed the initial code contribution for Amlen). There have been a number of improvements since Message Gateway days and we’ll blog about them in the future.
We think these builds are now suitable for widespread use.
Builds are available for:
- RHEL8/AlmaLinux8/Centos Stream 8 here
The WebUI requires openldap-servers which is available in the RHEL CodeReady Builder stream for RHEL
(PowerTools for CentOS/AlmaLinux)
Alternatively it is available from the symas repo.
(The Server component doesn’t have any dependencies that aren’t available in the default repos).
- Fedora 34
(Links to everything mentioned in this post are available from the official Amlen Webpage).
We’re looking forward to hearing from you
